The first steel sills installed |
Remember those steel sills and copings
here that I was painting?
Today the weather broke long enough for me to install the first run of them along the master bedroom window 'slot'.
Brian at
Flux did a excellent job fabricating these! They fit perfectly, and practically self-aligned.

Shims, prior to install. At the corner you can see the treated wood piece providing support to the sills. |
The sills overhang quite a bit at this point, but will eventually project just a little bit once the exterior insulation, furring, and siding is installed.

At the corner. A seam is visible to the left. Sealant at the inside edge helps divert water back to the outside of the (future) siding. |
