Drywall Progress

M. Bath skylight

Drywall is going up quickly.  In two and a half days, these 4 guys have managed to hang 85% of the rock.

Here are some progress pictures.

Drywall Arrives

Today the drywall was delivered and craned into the house. 

Lower Fascia

Drywall is scheduled for Monday, so it was high time to install the fascia boards on the lower canopies.  (It forms the edge to contain the soffit drywall)

The Energy Trust was nice enough to come out with a thermal imaging camera, to scan the building.

Gutters!

For the Birds

Pecked the tongue off the siding, and even tried a taste of the soffit.

We have a bird issue: a woodpecker has decided to start pecking at the edges of the new siding.

Funny how regularly these things grow on a construction site.

Tuesday brought nervous excitement - we tested our building air tightness with a blower door test.

Siding Progress Report

Siding continues, with excellent results so far.

Also seen here, the weather cooperated and I added the bottom piece of steel to the breakfast nook, completing the box.  The red/white plastic is covering the fresh primer on the welds.

Roof is Finally Done! Wait. Recall that.

The long tale of the roof (not counting gutters) almost came to conclusion yesterday.  They finally came back with the last remaining skylight and a missing piece of flashing.  All was installed, and we thought we were finally complete with our lid.

Last night it rained good and hard.

This morning, there was a small drip coming from the new skylight.
